We are the Maine Pumpkin Growers Organization. MePGO is an organization whose mission is to unite the growers of giant pumpkins within the state of Maine, to extend the sharing of knowledge and experience, and to promote the hobby of growing giant pumpkins.

Congratulations to Charlie Lopresti for winning the 2024 Damariscotta Pumpkinfest weigh-off and for setting a new state record with his 2365.5 pound pumpkin! He grew this pumpkin from his 2080 Lopresti seed which was featured in our club seed packet in spring 2023!
